Current Research

Phytochemical and pharmacological studies of local medicinal plant bioactives. Determination of the bioactive components of plant species that involves methods of extraction, isolation, separation, purification and chemical characterisation of the plant phytochemicals and their related anti-cancer, anti-malarial and anti-microbial bioactivities.

Studying the metabolism based-toxicity of drug molecules or herbal constituent and their underlying mechanisms of action. The method includes in vitro drug bioactivation models and quantitative-structure activity relationship (QSAR) studies.
