Research Interest

Development of pharmaceutical formulations using nanocarriers (e.g. lipid nanoparticles, cyclodextrin complexes) to improve the oral or pulmonary delivery of a drug.

Expertise

  • Drug formulation development using techniques including homogenization, spray-drying and freeze-drying.
  • Characterization of drug formulations for oral and pulmonary delivery using techniques such as dynamic light scattering, laser and X-ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry and the Next Generation Impactor.
  • Development and validation of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) methods, for analysis of drug in formulation and plasma samples.
  • In vitro cytotoxicity study on cancer cell line.
  • In vivo pharmacokinetic study of oral preparation.
