Noratiqah Mohtar, Dr

Dr. Noratiqah Mohtar is a senior lecturer at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, USM. Having attained her PhD from University College London, UK, in 2018, she subsequently joined USM in the same year.
In her current capacity as a senior lecturer, Dr. Mohtar actively engages in teaching, research, and postgraduate supervision within the field of Pharmaceutical Technology. Her research interest revolves around drug delivery and formulation, with a specific focus on developing inhalable drug delivery systems for the treatment of lung-related diseases. Additionally, she is exploring the potential of phytochemicals to enhance the efficacy of anticancer drugs in treating lung cancer.
Dr. Mohtar's dedication to advancing pharmaceutical research can be seen through her publication in reputable journals, covering topics ranging from nanomedicine to phytochemical formulations and drug delivery. She currently holds the position of Honorary Secretary in the Malaysian Society of Pharmaceutical Technology.

Research Interest:

  1. Nanoformulation and solubility improvement of therapeutic compounds
  2. Pulmonary drug delivery
  3. Oral drug delivery
  4. Anticancer activities of phytochemicals

Ongoing Research

  1. Formulation of therapeutic molecules into an inhalable dosage form for lung-related diseases.
  2. Development of water-soluble complex to facilitate oral delivery of drug.
