Alpinia galanga or Pokok Lengkuas, also known as galangal or sometimes greater galangal, is a tropical plant in the ginger family commonly found in Southeast Asian country, especially in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand. Beyond its aromatic flavor, lengkuas has many traditional and medicinal uses, both in folk medicine and supported by modern studies.
